Research In Motion Ltd. has launched its BlackBerry Torch 9860 in
India just ahead of the festival season – a time when it hopes more
consumers will be in the mood for buying.
Priced at 28,490 rupees ($585), the Torch 9860 is cheaper than rival smartphones such as Samsung’s Galaxy S II at 29,990 rupees and Apple’s iPhone 4, which was launched in India in May with a starting price of 34,500 rupees.
