Almost exactly a year after the launch of Torch 9800, BlackBerry has launched an update - the Torch 9810. BlackBerry seems to have decided to stick with what most users liked about the Torch 9800 and corrected some of the known issues in the 9810.
The build quality and design of the Torch 9810 have been significantly improved. It now sports a metallic finish all around the phone instead of bare plastic, which makes the phone standout and is the main visible differentiator compared to the old Torch.
Unfortunately, the phone has no change in terms of dimensions and is still quite hefty at 161 grams. This might be a turn-off for a lot of people. The back cover comes with a modern mesh pattern instead of a boring plain finish - providing a better grip on the phone.
