TCS recruits 708 students from KIIT

BHUBANESWAR : The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has picked 708 students from KIIT University. This is a record� of sorts__ most number of students absorbed by a single company through campus recruitment in the State.

�The selected students, who would be passing out in 2012, belong to B.Tech, M.Tech and MCA streams. Three out of the four tribal students of Kalinga Institute of Social sciences (KISS), who participated in the placement interviews, also landed jobs with the IT major.

�Last year TCS had picked 658 students from the KIIT through campus placement. Besides TCS, Shapoorji Pallonji, Tata Steel, Atkins, SAP and Deloittes also selected more than 100 students while campus recruitment by Wipro and Accenture is scheduled for this month-end.
