Facebook is testing a feature for people who are very active on Facebook and receive lots of email notifications from us. Facebook will provide a new summary email and turn off most individual email notifications. If you want to turn them back on, there's a control in your account settings.

SAP to Reimburse $20 million to Oracle


SAP will be reimbursing $20 million against the investigation it has been facing over downloading Oracle’s file, the sources have revealed.

SAP has been charged with unlawful downloading of Oracle software files and now it has decided to resolve the case by paying the lump sum amount to its rival Oracle for the crime it has committed.

iBall Slide Tablet Launched For Rs 13,995


Computer peripherals manufacturer iBall has launched its first Android based tablet named ‘Slide’ in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 13, 995, this will be another entrant in the budget tablet market.

Slide boasts of a 2 megapixel front camera, USB host and HDMI output. The tablet will pack 8GB built-in memory which can be expanded up to 32GB. What’s more is that it is powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. For connectivity, iBall Slide will come with Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G (via Dongle, not built-in).

LG unveils Optimus Hub

NEW DELHI : LG has unveiled the successor to its popular Optimus One smartphone dubbed LG Optimus Hub, according to a report in GSMArena.

Sporting a 3.5-inch HVGA LCD display, LG Optimus Hub runs on 800 MHz CPU and comes with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system.

Rupee falls to more than 15-month low on shares, euro

Mumbai : The Indian rupee weakened to its lowest level in more than 15 months on Tuesday after shares turned negative and the euro fell against the dollar.

At 1:45 p.m. (0815 GMT), the partially convertible rupee was at 47.47/49 per dollar, after touching 47.51, its lowest since May 26, 2010.


Al-Qaida releases video supporting Arab Spring, hailing 9/11 attacks

DUBAI: Al-Qaida has released a message in which Osama bin Laden's successor as the group's leader, Egyptian Ayman al-Zawahiri, said al-Qaida supported the Arab Spring. 




The hour-long video was released to mark the 10th anniversary of al-Qaida's Sept 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. 

Mumbai airport on alert against possible attack by small plane


Mumbai :  The Maharashtra government has received a new warning that terrorists may be planning to target the Mumbai airport.

Central intelligence agencies have said that small planes or a helicopter may be used by terrorists to attack the Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport. Intelligence officials have also asked that anyone hiring small planes or helicopters be put through extensive verification processes.

Private helipads and airports currently not in use or non-functional should also be monitored carefully, the intelligence alert states.
