MUMBAI : Actor Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday night tweeted that he wanted to call the victims of Sikkim quake on his show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
The actor said that many quake-hit villages in north east India still
remain unattended by the administration. He tweeted, "Conversing with
gentleman from Darjeeling .. stating that several villages still
unattended to after quake and in desperate condition If there are some
people that are reading this please inform concerned Government
authorities of condition in Darjeeling area."
Bachchan has plans to invite some people from the quake-hit area on his
quiz show. He tweeted, "Calling people to KBC affected from the quake
we shall endeavour .. as far as charity goes, believe it needs to be
done not talked of.''
About 111 people were killed after an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale hit north-east India and Nepal on September 18.
